Ingredients

Everyday® Spiced Mooru

  • Yoghurt - 1 cup
  • Water - 3 cups
  • Grated ginger - 1 tsp
  • Green chilli - 1 finely chopped
  • Asafoetida - 1/8 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry leaves - 4-5
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tsp
  • Few coriander leaves finely chopped

Yoghurt

  • NESTLÉ EVERYDAY Milk - 3.5 cups milk
  • Yoghurt starter - 2tbsp

Directions

Yoghurt

  1. Boil NESTLÉ EVERYDAY milk and let it cool down.
  2. After milk cools down pour NESTLÉ EVERYDAY milk into a bowl.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of yoghurt from previously home made yoghurt or use the dry yoghurt starter.
  4. Mix the yoghurt with the NESTLÉ EVERYDAY milk by stirring gently.
  5. Cover the bowl with a light blanket or folded sheet, and keep it in warm place for about 4 hours.
  6. After yoghurt is set, refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

 

Everyday® Spiced Mooru

  1. Add yoghurt, water, salt to taste, asafoetida and blend it.
  2. Add green chillies, ginger, few coriander leaves and mix it well.
  3. In a small frying pan add oil and temper mustard seeds. When mustard seeds crackle, add curry leaves and saute for few seconds.
  4. Add this in prepared buttermilk and mix well.
  5. Can be served immediately or when chilled.
