Egg And Cheese Muffins

  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 100 ml Nestlé full cream milk
  • 200 g self-rising flour
  • ¼ level tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground white pepper
  • 50 g NESTUM® All Family Cereal Original
  • 40 g butter, softened for 10 minutes at room temperature
  • 50 g Cheddar cheese, coarsely grated
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped parsley or finely sliced spring onion


  • 3 Tbsp grated Cheddar cheese
  • 4 Tbsp NESTUM® All Family Cereal Original

  1. Line 6 large muffin containers with squares of greaseproof paper.
  2. Beat eggs and milk together in a small bowl, set aside. Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda, salt and pepper into a mixing bowl. Stir in NESTUM®.
  3. 3. Mix butter into the dry ingredients with your fingertips until finely distributed. Stir in grated cheese and chopped herbs. Pour the egg/milk over the flour mixture and stir quickly to combine with a fork. Spoon into the prepared tins.
  4. 4. Combine cheese and NESTUM® in a small bowl and sprinkle topping generously over the muffins before baking in a preheated oven (180 C) for 20 – 25 minutes. Preferably serve warm.
