Quick, easy, nutritious and great for breakfast or as a packed snack.
2 eggs, beaten
100 ml Nestlé full cream milk
200 g self-rising flour
¼ level tsp bicarbonate of soda
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp ground white pepper
50 g NESTUM® All Family Cereal Original
40 g butter, softened for 10 minutes at room temperature
50 g Cheddar cheese, coarsely grated
2 Tbsp finely chopped parsley or finely sliced spring onion
3 Tbsp grated Cheddar cheese
4 Tbsp NESTUM® All Family Cereal Original
Line 6 large muffin containers with squares of greaseproof paper.
Beat eggs and milk together in a small bowl, set aside. Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda, salt and pepper into a mixing bowl. Stir in NESTUM®.
3. Mix butter into the dry ingredients with your fingertips until finely distributed. Stir in grated cheese and chopped herbs. Pour the egg/milk over the flour mixture and stir quickly to combine with a fork. Spoon into the prepared tins.
4. Combine cheese and NESTUM® in a small bowl and sprinkle topping generously over the muffins before baking in a preheated oven (180 C) for 20 – 25 minutes. Preferably serve warm.
