Do not starve yourself in anticipation of an upcoming feast, as you will tend to eat more than you intended. Hunger makes you avoid healthier choices as well hence, eat regularly and never binge eat occasionally.

  2. CUT BACK ON FIZZ

    soda

Wherever possible, choose water over sweet drinks to avoid consuming additional calories! Alternatively, go for a less or no added sugar drinks.

  3. FOCUS ON QUALITY

    portion control

Pick out three to five of the most appealing food at the table, without neglecting portion control since festive foods are likely to be laden with calories. Alternatively, use a smaller dish plate.

  4. PORTION CONTROL

Take your time to savour every bite. This gives your body enough time to digest and feel satiated to avoid too many rounds. It also lets you enjoy the flavours and textures of the dish.

  5. OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND

    meal prep

If you’re hosting your own party, pack away the leftovers once dinnertime is over. You’re less likely to go back for more food or end up snacking on extra bits of food on the table once it’s out of sight.
